What is Honda TrailSport Edition?
Honda currently sells only one pickup truck in Canada and that’s the 2022 Honda Ridgeline, but all that might be about to change in the coming years. Honda has announced a new chapter in its rugged light trucks’ direction called TrailSport. TrailSport Edition Coming Later This Year
Although Honda hasn’t revealed any details of the upcoming models under the TrailSport moniker, the TrailSport edition will be making its way onto certain upcoming Honda light trucks one step at a time. You’ll also be happy to know that the first Honda trucks to get the TrailSport treatment will be arriving at dealerships, including us, as early as later this year!
What is Honda TrailSport?
As the name suggests, Trailsport will focus on adventure and will bring a more rugged design and off-road capability to Honda’s upcoming light trucks.
What will be Different on TrailSport Edition Trucks?
The first models that will arrive under the TrailSport edition will feature rugged styling both at the front and the rear, durable cladding, and exclusive interior treatments such as high-contrast stitching on the upholstery and signature easy-to-clean all-weather mats.
The upcoming TrailSport edition light trucks will also feature Honda’s class-leading i-VTM4™ all-wheel-drive system with torque-vectoring that we see on the 2022 Honda Ridgeline and Honda SUVs like the Honda Passport and Honda Pilot.
Honda says that the TrailSport edition will “further advance the new rugged design direction of Honda trucks and become the halo for off-road capability, versatility, and durability,” that Honda vehicles are already known for.

Honda also revealed the Trailsport logo and said that the design of the new logo is inspired by nature’s beauty and the spirit of exploration, hinting further at the lineup’s outdoor capability.
Honda’s Off-Roading Legacy
As some of you might know, Honda has a very long legacy of making extreme off-roading vehicles including motorcycles ATVs, side-by-sides, and light pickup trucks. The TrailSport edition will build upon the same legacy. And it’ll be interesting to see what Honda comes up with, so stay tuned to our blogs for more.
